Building Tomorrow’s Stars Today!

The Build it U13 Festival continues to grow and develop future stars in Southern Africa. Rated as one of the bigger and more recognised soccer development programmes, the initiative has seen just over 70 000 aspiring young players compete on a yearly basis throughout the Southern African region. It is at these events where AmaZulu FC identifies potential talent, bringing together 50 players annually to compete in a week’s training camp in Durban. During this exciting week, these young stars are assessed by some of the most recognised development coaches in Southern Africa and also have an opportunity to meet and train with the AmaZulu FC senior team at Moses Mabhida Stadium, an experience that any young player will never forget.

We are pleased to announce that at the last training camp, AmaZulu FC identified 2 young stars who have been drafted into the AmaZulu FC Development Programme and the boys were awarded a 200% bursary each for the balance of their schooling years from Grade 8 - Grade 12. The bursary covers education, accommodation and mentorship programmes under the guidance of AmaZulu FC. Thobani Sithole, who was identified at our Build it Mandini U13 Festival, has now been placed at Ohlange High School in Inanda, and Tyreede, identified at the Build it Msunduzi U13 Festival, presently attends Glenwood High School in Durban.

It is Build its intention to be part of creating a stronger sporting nation through youth development, and this has been our focus from 2006.
